Brownstone Lighthouse
The remains of the old lighthouse and keeper's cottage on Brownsman Island in the Outer Farnes, Northumberland.
The lighthouse was originally built in 1800, and then replaced with a new tower in 1811. The cottage was home to Grace Darling, whose father was the lighthouse keeper. The lighthouse was closed in 1826 and Grace's father was then moved to neighbouring Longstone Lighthouse from which Grace rescued the survivors of the wrecked, 'Forfarshire'.
