The Hospice Viewfinder on Hampsfell
A walker using the viewfinder on The Hospice shelter, Hampsfell, Grange over Sands in Cumbria.
This 1834 limestone tower was built by the former vicar of Cartmel, George Remmington to provide shelter for travellers on the fell. The interior walls are lined with verses. The rooftop viewfinder was added later and is an easy way to identify the landmarks in the all-round view.
