St. Leonard's Church, Chalel-le-Dale
St. Leonard's Church, Chapel-le-Dale, Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire.
St Leonard's is a beautiful little 17th century chapel with some vibrant 17th century stained glass. Inside the church is a large memorial to all those who died during the seven year construction of the Carlisle-Settle railway. During those seven years the churchyard had to be expanded to cope with more than two hundred deaths.
