A classic Lakeland ramble over Wansfell.
5 or 6.5 miles - both with an early strenuous climb.
A varied ramble to the picturesque village of Troutbeck, passing the spectacular Stockghyll Force, the 17th century Town End House, St. John's Well and Jenkin Crag. The return along the lovely Robin Lane affords great views over Windermere and the spectacular view from Wansfell Pike makes the long, steep initial climb well worth the effort.
