The BT phonebox , Dunsop Bridge in the Forest of Bowland, Lancashire.
Ordnance Survey has calculated that Whitendale Hanging Stones, a wild spot on the moors, 4 miles north of Dunsop Bridge is the exact centre of Great Britain.
In 1992, BT chose to acknowledge this by placing their 100,000th payphone on the village green at Dunsop Bridge. There is a plaque inside the box that reads, “You are calling from the BT payphone that marks the centre of Great Britain" and the glass panels of the phone box show place names from Land's End to John o' Groats radiating out from Dunsop Bridge.
