Hanging Scar, Hutton Roof, Cumbria. Hanging Scar (sometimes called 'the Cuckoo Stone') is a huge erratic boulder deposited by glacier during the last Ice Age, that balances precariously in Blasterford Gap above the village of Hutton Roof.
