William Morris (1834–1896)
Associated with the British Arts and Crafts Movement, Morris founded Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co in 1861. This decorative arts firm included Burne-Jones and Rossetti. The firm greatly influenced interior decoration throughout the Victorian period, with Morris designing wallpaper, fabrics, furniture, and stained glass windows. In 1875, he assumed total control of the company and renamed it Morris & Co.
