Craster Harbour
A view of Dunstanburgh Castle from Craster Harbour in Northumberland.
The large concrete structure was added to the end of the southern pier in 1914 to support a 90ft tall silo which assisted loading the locally quarried whinstone chippings onto ships in the harbour. The silo was removed in the 1930s when quarrying ceased.
