The Buttertubs
The Buttertubs, Buttertubs Pass, Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire.
Dramatic, fluted limestone potholes, said to have got their name from the days when farmers walked to market. They rested here and lowered their butter into the potholes to cool it down.
