This Victorian stained glass window contains the coat of arms of Miles Coverdale, Bishop of Exeter in the central light.
Coverham was the 16th century birthplace of Miles Coverdale who was famed for his 1538 translation of the Bible. He later served as Bishop of Exeter before escaping abroad during the rign of Queen Mary. After Mary's death, he returned to England to serve as rector of St Magnus the Martyr Church in London.

William's Hill is a late 11th century earth and timber ringwork fortress. It was built early in the reign of William Rufus and was superseded by the late Norman stone castle at the bottom of the hill, soon after 1180.

The Middleham Jewel: A late 15th century gold pendant with a blue sapphire. The Crucifixion is engraved on the front, and the Nativity on the back. A religious scene is engraved on each side.
The pendant was discovered by a metal detectorist in 1985 near Middleham Castle and bought by the Yorkshire Museum in York for £2.5 million.
A replica of the pendant is on display in both Middleham Castle and the Church of Saint Mary and Saint Alkelda.

The alter, Penhill Preceptory: The House of the Knights Templars at Penhill, West Witton in Wensleydale, North Yorkshire.
A preceptory was a provincial community or religious house of the medieval Knights Templar (A military - religious order of knights founded in 1118 by the Crusaders to protect the pilgrimage routes to Jerusalem). Templar knights, in their distinctive white mantles with a red cross were among the most skilled fighting units of the Crusades. Although the Wensleydale community of Knights Templar was founded by Roger Mowbray in 1142, this present site was only in use from 1200 to 1310 when it was handed over to the Knights Hospitallers who soon abandoned it. The remains of the chapel were uncovered in 1840.
