Cautley Barrow
Cautley Barrow, Cautley, Sedbergh, Cumbria.
A Bronze Age (circa 2499-500 BC) burial cairn of loose stone. By the end of the Bronze Age, bodies would have been cremated and later, during the Iron Age they were often just dumped in rivers or lakes.
