Fish Stones and Ancient Oak, Caton
The Fish Stones at Caton are three circular stone slabs next to the site of the ancient oak tree. The slabs are believed to have been used for selling locally caught fish in Medieval times. Sadly the old oak fell down one month after this photo was taken. An acorn had previously been planted in the hollow trunk of the ancient tree.
